The above is a screen shot of the page at http://www.bmrc.co.in/MBT.htm. I am warning that this page might have been pulled down soon after taking up this issue with metro officials on April 26th 2014.
The tickets in the above picture are issued by BMRCL as day passes to allow travel both on Metro and BMTC busses. The web page also says that the BMTC conductor will issue the days passes on Vajra buses, but they have to be validated at the Metro counters with a metro card after buying a card ffor Rs. 50.

What I had was the day pass issued by BMTC. On April 26th, I was not allowed to validate the BMTC issued day pass at Metro saying that it cannot be done. I told them that I have verified the validity of the same as of today (April 26th) and they must allow me board as per that information. They refused quoting that they have been told that the day passes issued by BMTC is no longer valid.
When I pressed them to show that notice, Mr. T D Raghu printed an email issued to them by Mr. B S Keshav, AM at Namma metro. It was sent on April 16th and no such notices were put anywhere visible or at the customer service counter – even after 10 days of the email date of April 16th. The last travel I had at metro was on April 14th with the same BMTC issued day pass.
What has been allowed before as per the information provided to the public on BMRCL site has been invalidated by an email sent by an AM and without a notice put up to say so, and without the courtesy of handing over that email for my reference to publish on this blog. I was literally stopped by the security when I was trying to walk away with it, claiming that Namma Metro is our metro, a public transport system and according to RTA (right to information act), I should not be stopped.
I was never allowed even after trying to convince them in several ways, even going to the extent of calling the media to confirm it.
Namma Metro is not Namma Metro, it is theirs to create Nimma mess.
