Thinking waste

There is a perceived notion that abundance leads to waste. There is yet another notion that to create something new, there will be waste. How about a notion that not thinking waste creates waste?

Assume that you follow a perfect recipe to produce a dish. What would you do if you err on either the proportion or the preparation? Do you throw away the dish and start all over again? Do you see whether something can be salvaged out of the dish? Do you see that the balance is off and the dish can be balanced again?

May be there is waste in each of those thinking. But do you keep trying till you succeed in producing the recipe in its original best?

If you do, you are not thinking waste, and hence you create waste.

Do you question yourself to see what went wrong what needs to be done to correct? Do you keep trying with no fear of failing again and again to correct the mistakes made? Do you seek more information from those who have tried the recipe to salvage the dish? Do you elicit help from others to finish the dish to its best version of the original?

Then you are thinking waste, even though there is waste and reduce waste.

Known worldwide, the dosa dish starting with the same  batter, could end up bit thick, not round, bit thin. But if cooked well, will you throw it as it is not to its original shape or color or size or thickness? Person who thinks waste, will not and will eat it and try again to produce a better version. Person who does not waste, will and creates waste.
