Christmas Lights off for an hour

Do you think this small act can spread nationwide? Check out this link: http://www.firstelectricnewspaper.com/2012/12/resident-calls-for-holiday-lights-out.html

Why should we do this?

Usually, we would have lit candles. But this time, let us show the world that when the lights of joy has been turned off for the holidays for the families and the community of Newtown, it is an honorable thing to do to turn our lights off at least for an hour  on Christmas day to show that we are in their grieving.

Why should we do this?

Recently we heard suggestions from the NRA chief to arm good guys with guns. Why should a good guy be armed with a gun?  To make him a bad guy? Let us show the world how the modern society with guns are making our days dark. Turn the lights of for an hour on Christmas day.

Why should we do this?

It was predicted that the world would end on 21st according to Mayan calendar. Were they really saying that the world would plunge towards self-destruction on this day? Turn the lights for an hour on Christmas day to ward off any such bad omens.

Why should we do this?

Turning lights off and on again after an hour signifies the rebirth, rejuvenation, rejoice and reclaim. Let us reclaim what the communities have lost over the past decade. Let us rejuvenate the values of civility, courtesy and common sense. Let us make way for the rebirth of good values, good knight-ship and a move towards common good. Lastly let us rejoice the efforts of all good people who make a difference in the lives of many each year around this time and whenever their conscious beckons them.
