Pratham at Mahajana

I was given an excellent opportunity to present the concepts of my framework to an illustrious gathering of teachers  at Mahajana’s Post Graduate center in Mysore, India. The faculty staff numbered around forty who were all geared to up to know how the concepts of this framework would help rebuild the lost trust in the education system in India. Their combined research work on various doctorates obtained made me real nervous to present this framework. Even my ten plus years of research that I was boosting has become just a molehill. I summed up my courage and decided that it would be another  milestone for me to cross with my own research on the 21st century education. I decided to search for like-minded researchers to match their effort in near future.

With that frame of mind, and, with some encouraging words from the director of PG Center, I decided to focus on sending a message that I am here to act as a catalyst to the process than anything else. What was intended to be a 30 minutes talk with 15 minutes of Q&A, extended beyond the time alloted, beyond my imagination and beyond everything else to last for a good two hours!

No one knew that they were there sitting for couple of hours, absorbing the material that was presented, debating on the merits of the observations made on the education system in India and the reforms that are taking place around the world.

The spread of discussions was so wide, I was amazed at myself to have absorbed all that was discussed. Societal trust of the Trust dimension took the center stage followed by the un-learning quadrant of the Innovation dimension. All quadrants merited the lively discussion and, my God, all of them were enthusiastically debated, questioned, argued and shared.

I left the place very pleased with the outcome and very pleased with the commitment that I saw and very pleased with the energy that I was able to carry with myself.
