A precursor to D-square

Be Fearless – but of the right kind.

Being fearless without knowing your own capabilities is utter stupidity whereas knowing your capabilities to become fearless is heroic.

While trekking I came across a crevice that is six-feet wide, but I could not imagine jumping that if I did not know that I can. By looking at the gap, I thought I can as I had won the long jump record during my college days. However, I could not muster the strength to do it knowing that I am much older now, but somewhere in the back of my mind, it was saying I can. Decided that I will try jumping a creek first to see what I can do at this age. I could not jump the creek first time around, but I could after several attempts. By then I decided not to jump across the crevice, but take a longer route to get to where I was heading.

Jumping across a crevice that is ten-feet wide is a fearless act. However, knowing that you can jump 20-feet across makes you fearless. However, trying to jump across the crevice -not knowing how long you can jump  is utter stupidity even if you are capable of jumping 20-feet across.

That fearlessness of knowing kind is the one that you need to possess to get into D-square – Do and Discover quadrant of the Circle of Learning.
