Celebrate!

Life is precious, short and sweet. Be blessed with what you have got from your life and bless others to receive more from life than what you got.

Here I welcome one and all to send me a person's life achievements - may it be your family member or a friend or a colleague - who has done some service to community at large. It could be small in other's eyes, but if you think it impacted you or the people around you, please make it known to everyone. Please send the details of the achievement under the subject 'celebrating life' to my email address.

Celebrating My Father

I am very proud to say that my father had been contributing as an astrologer without expecting anything in return to help people understand what a person's horoscope will tell about himself or herself and to prepare them for difficult times and fruitful times through scientific predictions.

He reversed my belief that astrology is more holistic than science by his commitment to work that he had embarked on to produce limitless calculations - all by hand and with the help from a calculator. He helped many souls till such time a stroke handicapped his writing and speaking capacities. However, he continued to be mentally agile even after that. As soon as you mention anything related to astrology, you would see his eyes lighting up even though he could not remember everything about astrology anymore.

He may not be with us today to give us the comfort of his physical presence, but deep in my heart I know that he is with us and his blessings will always be there to guide us.

Celebrating My Mother

Everyone kids my mother around as Dr. Pooja Mom. Even though she did not go past middle school days in her childhood, we decided to give her the honorary doctorate in the science of conducting pooja. She not only can recite many shlokas or sahasra-naamaas without a book, but also knows the procedure for any pooja that you can think of in this world! She has helped many souls to understand the reason behind these poojas and how it contributes enormously in developing stronger self and cohesive communities overall.

Footnote

I started this page to recognize not a very well known, but a commoner like everyone else who had made that essential difference in a small way. I believe firmly in the old saying 'many drops make oceans'. I believe that these contribution droplets to the society at large has significantly shaped the quality of life for all and over a period of time.
